DOI is hyperlinked on the summary page and if you click the link you can't get back

Project:RUcore Workflow Management System (WMS)
Version:7.7
Component:Faculty Deposit
Category:bug report
Priority:normal
Assigned:jjotto
Status:closed
Description

I fill out the deposit form. I go to the View Summary page. The "URL for the published work" is hyperlinked, and if I click that link, I'm taken out of RUcore. It's good that the URL is hyperlinked, but it would be better if it opened in a new tab so I don't get taken out of RUCore.

The URL is no longer hyperlinked, but I'm okay with that. I'm calling it fixed.

The DOI is hyperlinked again. If I click that link, I'm taken out of RUcore, and when (after some difficulty) I return to the deposit screen, all the information I input is gone.

I just tested this. The DOI is hyperlinked in test. Reopening.

Fill out the deposit form.
For the element labeled "Link to Published Work" copy in http://dx.doi.org/ from the instruction next to the label
Then go to the journal's page at http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/01639371003757012#.VjJKXUYorp...
Find the DOI on that page, copy it, and paste it immediately after the http://dx.doi.org/
This is the workflow that faculty would be expected to use to input the information.
Click View Summary.

The DOI is hyperlinked

This may be a case where you have a toolbar or some other web browser extension installed that is screen scraping and hyperlinking DOI's. I think we saw this in the past with your desktop environment. I would suggest using a different web browser to confirm this isn't the case. Sorry for asking for more troubleshooting.

Best,
Chad

Chad is right in Comment 9. Tested in IE and no hyperlink. Feel free to mark this closed (not sure I'm allowed!).

I tested with Firefox and Chrome. Chrome doesn't hyperlink the DOI but Firefox does.
