3) RefWorks mapping-revised -- mapping done by RM, KA, and YHL
changes are in red.

Note for developers:

Can you provide me with the mapping files again? For some reason the uploaded files are not accessible.

Mapping are complete. The only Issues I had were:

RefWorks mappings
------------------------

A1 - Authors. It was asked that multiple authors are separated with a period and space. The RefWorks schema states that A1 is repeatable and multiple authors should be expressed as multiple A1 fields. I kept the mapping to designate multiple authors as separate A1 entries.

LA - Language says to map to mods:language. The mods schema stores the language value in a child element called mods:languageTerm. mods:language/mods:languageTerm. I kept the mapping looking for the value in mods:languageTerm

RD - Retrieved Date could not be supplied. Date functions like this are not supported by XSLT 1.0. Unless we upgrade to XSLT 2.0 or used a different mechanism from XSLT to generate these exports this field cannot be offered.

RIS/EndNote mappings
----------------------------

TY - Type of Reference. It was asked that if the mods:typeOfResource = text supplied "Journal Article" as the TY value. "Journal Article" is not an allowed value according to the RIS file format specification. I kept that mapping pointing to "BOOK". reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RIS_(file_format)#Type_of_reference

Y2 - Access Date could not be supplied. Date functions like this are not supported by XSLT 1.0. Unless we upgrade to XSLT 2.0 or used a different mechanism from XSLT to generate these exports this field cannot be offered.

RefWorks: everything maps correctly except Abstract. The Abstract field includes the entire text of the mods metadata.

Rhonda,

Did Joseph test RefWorks and Endnote? Are we satisfied with the results?

Thanks,

TEsted by R Marker in RefWorks. Exported successfully, mapping is accurate.

Tested by J Deodato in RIS, Flow, EndNote Web.
Flow -- exported successfully, mapping is accurate.
EndNote Web -- exported successfully. Mapped as TY (type of reference) = BOOK instead of JOUR. Issue numbers appears in the "notes" field (presumably because it was treating the items as books)
RIS -- exported successfully. Mapped as TY (type of reference) = BOOK instead of JOUR.

Need to re-test EndNote and RIS.
