Reassigning to me. I will test this when we have moved to the testing phase.

EAD is listed as a CM in the Collection Management Statistics Report (under Objects by Content Model). Do we need to test anything else?

I think the first step to test this is know if the WMS has a file policy for the EAD datastream. In there it would need to be configured to accept stats for that datastream. Has WMS been configured to accept EAD XML upload?

Yes. Jie and Ron asked me to add EAD file policy in the WMS configuration.

I am not getting any EAD datastream policy information from WMS. I think we need to figure out what is off with the file policy configuration before we can test this.

Please check this and let me know what is missing.

<foxml:datastream ID="EAD-1" STATE="A" CONTROL_GROUP="M" VERSIONABLE="true"><foxml:datastreamVersion ID="EAD-1.0" ALT_IDS="fname:ocr-1-00067773.xml" MIMETYPE="text/xml" LABEL="EAD XML1" SIZE="714955" CREATED="2014-07-18T10:43:45"><foxml:contentDigest TYPE="SHA-256"/><foxml:contentLocation TYPE="INTERNAL_ID" REF=""/></foxml:datastreamVersion></foxml:datastream>

We have made some progress. EAD is showing up in the WMS file policy now but a change has been made to the file policy XML to accommodate this.

In the past we have been using the ID attribute as the datastream ID when confirming access and statistics for a datastreams. This attribute name has been changed to "dsid"

Please make the changes in the stats code to using "dsid" from "id" when validating a stats request is valid.

Do I need to add EAD as special type of file in my own xml file or it's a shared type?

take a look at this, it's in shared xml policy.

<policy archType="presentation">
<datastream id="xml" type="DigitalObject" generation="none" dsid="EAD" dslabel="EAD XML">

OK tested. Viewed an ingested test EAD. I was able to play it back and the usages was recorded as a download in the statistics package.
