Try again please. I am not 100% confident I fixed the IE8 issue as I cannot replicate it on my Desktop.

I still get "Unable to open..." alert message after updating an application (see attached screen shot) using IE. My IE security level = medium, protected mode disabled.

So this is now a different message than before?

My browser setting were more strict. I mimicked what was sent, still cannot replicate. Can you confirm that you have cleared your cache since last testing as well.

I deleted everything in Delete Browsing History window in IE, closed IE, restarted my PC, then tried again with IE - still the same result. I tried IE 11 on a different computer and didn't have issues. My IE's version is 8.0.760.17514, maybe it's this specific IE version that has issues?

I have reproduced the problem on other people's machine in TSB who have the same version of IE as I have. So looks like the problem only occurs on certain IE versions. -YY

I found a computer at the SCC where this error appears. I think it has something to do with the redirection after a form submit. Let's see....

I think I found the problem. That version of IE8 doesn't like to redirect the client to a page with a anchor set with no value.

i.e. <a href="https://url.edu#" title="https://url.edu#">https://url.edu#</a>

Please test once again.
