Use customized input form (short version) - REVERT

Project:RUcore Workflow Management System (WMS)
Component:Create/Edit Digital Objects
Category:bug report

I changed the 'use customized input form' from Yes for No. When I go in to create/edit a record, then click on 'Structure Map' then click 'Back to Metadata' then return back the collection level record lists either by clicking 'Exit' or 'Save,' the Yes setting for the 'use customized input form' reverts, rather than retaining the 'No' setting I switched to.

Is that intentional or should it retain the setting I originally applied?

In 'Fedora IO' > 'Edit Fedora Object,' there is no option to toggle between Customized Input Forms and Default/Full nput forms. As such, if a collection is assigned a customized form, there is no way to revert to the default form when editing metadata elements. If any metadata elements were entered that do not appear on the customized form at point of original ingestion, those values remain embedded in the XML, but cannot be changed in the Fedora Edit function.

Moving to 7-x. We are not using short forms on the production server so this is not an issue right now. We will take a look in the next release.

Version:7-x» 7.4

Version:7.4» 8.0

Version:8.0» 7.6

Per our discussion at the sw_arch meeting, moving to R7.6.

This issue was entered in 2012. I haven't done anything this time, but suspect (and hope :)) the problem may no longer be an issue. Please test again to confirm. If problem still exists, change bug status back to active, and give details of your test. -YY

Yes, this appears to have been resolved with the new implementation of the 'my workflow' settings.
