Description

We we still looking for dc:language and dc:rights to populate <field name="language"> and <field name="right"> even though we had stopped using dc as an additional source of metadata. The script now looks for mods:language and rulib:adminrights to populate these fields and has been tested on devel and staging. These is no 6.2.3 so I'm calling this 6.x.

mods:language has been added and tested in R6.3.1 but rulib:adminrights indexing does not work as expected. It will be addressed in R7.0.

Moving from dlr/EDIT to SOLR Searching and Indexing.

This can be tested. The language field is the only real one - the rights are being picked up already and adminrights is only in a few legacy objects.

"rights" is not an option in the picklist so I don't know how else to test this.

Status:active» test

It only gets added to older objects. In dlr/EDIT solr search, type something like "rights:public". The fedora2solr.xsl looks for both the older rulib:adminrights and the newer rulib:RULRightsMD.

#6

Should not this be available in the search portal? We should test this in search portal.

Please update this with a testing procedure using the RUcore search interface.

I can't add a new search field to the rucore interface. The dlr/EDIT rights:string search will demonstrate the the field exists and could be searchable. If you look at the "View Solr/Lucene and Object XML" links in dlr/EDIT, you will see the fields as they are posted to Solr and should see the sort of content in the Solr field named "rights".

I have taken that as a request to have those fields added to the default advanced search form. They are added and can be used for testing.

See the following: <a href="http://rep-test.libraries.rutgers.edu/rucore/search/" title="http://rep-test.libraries.rutgers.edu/rucore/search/">http://rep-test.libraries.rutgers.edu/rucore/search/</a>

In the optional pulldowns at the bottom now a Rights and Language options appear and are mapped to the Solr fields as outlined in the previous comments.

Searched for "copyrighted" in rights and got records matching "This item may be copyrighted." in rights declaration statement.

Searched for "open" in rights and got records matching "open" in Availability Status.
