WMS collection does not correspond to search collection-- fix in dlr/EDIT

Project:RUcore dlr/EDIT
Version:5.3
Component:Miscellaneous
Category:task
Priority:normal
Assigned:ananthan
Status:closed
Description

There are two collection records in dlr/EDIT for Rutgers University Libraries General Collection. The one in the WMS, with this ID: rucore00000001103 has as its parent the "Root" collection with this ID: rucore00000001102. Its status is "Inactive" and its Google Sitemap is "Inactive".

The other one is in the public search interface and has this ID: RUL and has as its parent "Digital Library Repository" with this ID: DLR. Its status is "Active" and its Google Sitemap is "Active Regular".

We need to inactivate the old "RUL" collection and activate the new "rucore00000001103" collection.

We will need to move all subcollections from the old "RUL" collection to the new collection.

For any resource records that reside within the "RUL" collection, we need to change the relatedItem host from "RUL" to "rucore00000001103" in the MODS metadata.

Complete any necessary cleanup associated with this.

#1

There are many more collections in the repository that have similar issues. Identify all the collections and fix the resources.

#2

There are 109 resources in this collection. Moved all the resources including sub-collections from RUL to rucore00000001103. Now rucore00000001103 is displayed in RUcore search tree. The old RUL collection has been removed from the RUcore search tree.

The RUL Electronic Journal Collection (rutgers-lib:1379) has also been moved from RUL to rucore00000001103 but I could not search this in the dlrcollections database. The handle for this collection works OK.

The Fedora IDs of the objects moved are in the attached document.
