Description

Within the collection I created, there appears a sub-collection that I did not create. My collection is De Fino test collection, under Rutgers University Collection. The shadow sub-collection is De Fino test collection. General Resources. There are no resources in that collection. It's confusing to the user. Does it have to be there?

The option appears because the "De Fino Collection." has more than one resource in it and sub collections. This provides a way to search that collection without also including the sub-collections in a search.

You are finding nothing because by default collection objects are excluded unless they are specifically requested when searching using the "Type of Resource" pulldown. The only objects that are part of the "De Fino Collection." are collection objects so unless you choose Collection from the pulldown you will find nothing. I know it makes no sense in this use case, but the system wide policy decision of excluding collection objects unless requested has created this side effect. I am not sure if there is a resolution.

Okay, that's not a problem.

I'll close the status. If anyone thinks it should be reopened, feel free to do so. I guess this was more of a question than a bug.
