Optimize Page Number Aquisition

Project:OpenETD - Rutgers Electronics Thesis and Dissertations Platform

Currently the system acquires page numbers via the ghost script utility used for margin checking. The current code being used needs to be tweaked because it uses more resources than necessary to get page numbers and slows down the "bulk" export to Proquest process.

This could also be addressed by forcing the script (current or optimized) to execute upon upload/submission so that the performance slowness is not compounded during the bulk export to Proquest.

Priority:normal» critical

This is pretty close to "done". Added Margin-checking option to the student upload process. Can force auto-checking after upload, but not recommended due to time (may be sped up via memory allotment to ghostscript). The final piece of the puzzle is debugging and optimizing the page counting done upon export to Proquest. Need to check to see if file was uploaded after last page count was performed.
